Connecting to a Conference

Depending on the browser you are using to connect to a conference, you may get a message telling you that you need to install additional plugins or updates.

Messages may be different for each browser, so following the instructions on your screen.

 

Note: You may need to close the various Windows and Refresh this page in your browser once the plugin is installed the first time only.

 

 

 

If Unable to Install Plugins Successfully

If you cannot install plugins in your web browser, you can still connect to the conference by clicking on the conference link at the bottom of the screen.

  1. Click conference link at the bottom of the screen.

A new Connecting to Conference screen opens.

 

 

  1. Click the link at the top of the screen to join the conference (this example is shown using Firefox).

A dialog box opens.

  1. Click OK to open the join_e.exe file.

 

 

  1. After the download has completed successfully, Click Open to open the file.

 

 

 

  1. Depending on the browser you are using, and your system settings, you may get a warning message asking if you want to launch (or open) this file. Click OK to open the file.

 

 

The Collab Conference session opens automatically.
